I consider myself a travel & street photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My body of work spans mostly personal's travel journeys documentary and street photography that fascination with people and the way they live their lives. After several years of freelance works, workshops, or personal projects exploring the countries with my camera, I accumulate quite several amounts of awards from different categories worldwide.
Many years ago, when I was major in Animation during college, and there is where I come into contact with imaging, pre-production, and post-production in the industry. During this stage, through experience that lays me a very strong foundation art sense, especially got into the game design industry (Japan) and film industry in the United States & Thailand.
The very first contact with the film camera and develop films in the darkroom, is like a seed was planted but it didn't arouse my immediate interest at that time. Many years later, I started photography as a way for me to document my family. I felt there was a need for us to have moments frozen in time of our cherished memories. While at first, I was only shooting with my family and slowly expands to landscape, travel, human interest, and finally street photography.
Started in landscape photography, I like to travel from country to country, circling the globe spends life shooting some of the most beautiful locations in the world. Whether stare into the urban, street, or nocturnal, the world is just amazing.
Later as a street photographer, we understand that our photograph is 99 percent about failure most of the time. No matter you are looking for a decisive moment or good human interest, always the best pictures are ones that tell a story, that take us on a journey. I think one of the things that initially drew me to the street is just how damn hard it is. I couldn't control the light, control how people looked, the background– all I could control is how well I could move my feet, and click the shutter at what I thought would be the "right" moment.
In the year 2019, I joined the Professional Photographers Asia Community Stars Club (PPAC) with the 2-Stars photographer. With the number of awards I possess and submit, I have been reappraising by the PPAC Stars Qualification Community and upgraded to the PPAC World 3-Star photographer and PPAC judge.
